Payment
Payment is expected at the time of service. We accept Cash, Check (local only), American Express, Discover, Mastercard, and Visa.
Arrival Time
Please arrive AT your scheduled appointment time. Allow about 10 minutes at the end of your session for discussion with your practitioner.
Cancellation Policy
The courtesy of a 24-hour advanced cancellation notice is requested. Failure to provide notice within 12 hours will result in a charge for the full amount of the missed appointment.
Late Policy
To respect the appointment times of all clients, a late arrival may result in a shortened session with a full charge for the scheduled service.
Treatment of Minors
Clients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during the entire session. Signed consent for treatment is required.
Referral Policy
Receive $10 off your next session for each new client/booking I receive (ask for some referral cards to give to friends!).
Gift Certificates
Gift certificates cannot be returned for a refund. They are not redeemable for cash and have no cash value.
Client Responsibilities
*I understand the massage I receive is for the basic purposes of relaxation, stress reduction, and relief of muscular tension. If I experience any pain or discomfort I will immediately inform the practitioner so that the pressure and/or technique may be adjusted to my level of comfort. After all, this is MY massage session and the therapist won't know if I don't tell them.
*I understand that massage therapists are not qualified to perform spinal or skeletal adjustments, prescribe pharmaceuticals, or diagnose or treat any physical or mental illness, and that nothing said in the course of the session(s) should be construed as such. I further understand that massage is not a substitute for medical treatment or diagnosis and that I should consult a physician, chiropractor, or other qualified specialist for any mental or physical ailment that I may have.
*The type of massage techniques which I will receive in my session today may include: effleurage, petrissage, tapotement, compression, vibration, energy work, hot stone, reflexology, stretching and/or range of motion movements.
*I understand that any information provided by the practitioner is for educational purposes only and is not diagnostically prescriptive in nature.
*I understand that a 1-hour massage time includes dressing and undressing. The actual hands on time can be anywhere from 50 to 55 minutes.
*I understand that any illicit or sexually suggestive remarks or advances made by the client toward the therapist will result in immediate termination of the session and a charge for the full cost of the scheduled appointment.
*Draping is legally required within the state of Iowa and will always be used during massage sessions. Only the area being worked on will be uncovered.
